What happens if I don't register?

Starting September 1, 2024, all 10DLC phone numbers used to send SMS and MMS messages to U.S. numbers must be registered to an approved campaign under your brand.

Messages sent from unregistered numbers will face increasing message blocking, leading to a complete block of unregistered U.S.-bound messages after September 30, 2024.
Eventually all unregistered 10DLC Messaging will cease to be supported altogether by mobile carriers.

Why is this change happening, and is this a Zonitel-specific requirement?

This is an industry-wide change to improve the Campaign Vetting process to reduce spam, fraud, and unwanted messaging and protect SMS as a trusted communications channel in the U.S. Every messaging provider who services A2P Campaigns must conduct this vetting.

Note: We are collecting the campaign verification fee and will pass that along without markup to our telecommunications partners. The cost is not levied by us directly.

How long does it take to approve my campaign once submitted?

Usually 3 to 10 Business days but it's not guaranteed.
Standard Use Case Campaigns are approved immediately for qualified brands, while some Special Use Case Campaigns are dependent on the Mobile Network Operator (Carrier, eg AT&T, T-Mobile, etc.) review times. These Campaigns initially will be in a “Review” Status upon completion of the registration process. Once the Campaign Registry receives the approval decision from the MNO, we will inform the registered User in the Company.

What can I do if my campaigns are rejected?

Contact the Zonitel support team at 833.966.4835 and we'll work with you to help you fix the errors or requirement needed for your Campaign registration and re-submit a new Campaign.

Do I need to go directly to The Campaign Registry to complete registration?

No. Registration can be completed entirely through Zonitel. Zonitel has integrated directly with The Campaign Registry (TCR) to facilitate registration for our customers so you don't have to pay the initial one time fee of $200 they require.

Note: If you already have a campaign ID or prefer to go directly to the TCR website for your campaign registrations please feel free to do so, we only need the campaign ID to attach it to your numbers in our system.
